The Chinese chicken soup recipe is one of the easy Chinese chicken recipes for soup. It is rich in flavor. Delicious!
Chicken broth -- 1 quart ( ½ quart broth plus ½ quart of water is fine)
Sesame oil -- 2 tablespoons
Ground turmeric -- ½ teaspoon, or to taste
Fresh ginger root -- 3 teaspoons, chopped
Chili paste -- 1 tablespoon or to taste
Chicken breast -- 2, chopped, cooked. (Tip: raw chicken works fine too. Be sure to coat with a half teaspoon of salt,water and cornstarch mix before putting it in the pot.)
Sugar -- 2 teaspoons (optional)
Mushroom -- 1 cup (optional)
Soy sauce -- ¼ cup
Celery -- 1 cup, chopped
Ramen noodles -- one 3 ounce package (or angel hair pasta, break in half)
Spinach -- 1 cup, or lettuce, shredded
Green onion -- 4, chopped
Heat oil over medium heat in a large pot,cook turmeric, ginger and chili paste until fragrant. (Add celery with these ingredients if you want it to be soft in the soup. Otherwise do according to the next direction.)
Stir in chicken, broth, sugar, soy sauce and celery and bring to a boil, then add noodles and cook 3 minutes. Then stir in spinach or lettuce.
Turn off heat. Garnish the soup with green onions. Serve and ENJOY!
