Dumpling Sauce For Dumpling Recipes

Dumpling Recipes are for fun and taste! This tasty dumpling sauce can enhance your dumpling experience.

 

Chinese dumplings are called Jiao-zi in Mandarin. The wrappers are round-shaped, which represents reunion in China. This gives dumpling-making a deeper, more meaningful dimension. It's also a fun activity for the family to do together.

Here is the dumpling sauce. It's optional for your dumpling dinner.

I like to use this sauce for other dishes too, i.e. for noodles and rice. If you enjoy doing new experiments in the kitchen sometimes like me, this is a life saver. It has transformed many of my failures into at least acceptable dishes. So I didn't have to cook again on that particular day when I failed my own expectations. What I needed to do on those unfortunate days was to make a mental note what I should not do next time.

Now for the dumpling sauce recipe!

Ingredients:

• Light soy sauce -- 1 tablespoon
• Dark soy sauce -- 1 tablespoon
• Rice vinegar -- 1 tablespoon
• Sugar -- 1/2 teaspoon
• Garlic -- 1/4 teaspoon, minced
• Ginger -- 1/4 teaspoon, minced
• Hot chili sauce -- 1 tablespoon
  

Directions:

Mix them well in a bowl.
