What is magnesium? You might have known from what you've learnes that magnesium is a common alkaline earth metal (an element) on earth with the symbol Mg. It's too reactive to be found naturally, but it is the third most abundant element dissolved in seawater.
Magnesium plays an important role in our body functions and health. It is the fourth most abundant mineral in our body, and approximately 50% of it is in our bones; the other half inside cells of body tissues and organs. A very small percentage (about 1%) of magnesium is found in blood.
